Spooky Season is finally here and 14 FSS is brewing up activities for adults and families this October!

Preteen Fright Night: 18 October at 1900-2100
Get ready for a spine-chilling night for youth ages 9 to 12! Preteens are invited to enjoy a ghoulish evening filled with dancing, games, and fun for $20! Be sure to register by 15 October by calling the Youth Center at (662) 434-2504.

Zombie Mud Run: 19 October at 0900
Gather your courage and gear up for a wild, zombie-infested adventure at SAC Lake! With mud-splattered obstacles and flesh-eating foes lurking around every turn, it’s a test of strength, speed, and survival skills! With the Columbus Air Force Base overrun by the undead, it’s up to you to outrun and outsmart these ghoulish zombies. And, if you’re one of the first 30 to sign up, you’ll snag a sweet and spooky t-shirt to commemorate your triumph! The Zombie Mud Run is a “fun run” and is great for all ages and abilities! Pumpkin Decorating Contest with Your Library: Pumpkin Pick-up Starting 24 October
Your Library is kicking off a spooktacular pumpkin decorating contest! Let your creativity soar by transforming a pumpkin into your favorite book character! This is the perfect family project, with one pumpkin per household. Pick up your pumpkin at the Library starting on 24 October. The big reveal of the masterpieces will take place at BooFest on 31 October, where the judging will take place!

BOGO Bowling: 28 October at 1000-1500
Get ready to strike up some spooky fun! The Bowling Center is offering BOGO Bowling! Bring your friends, team, class, squadron, and family for a thrilling round of bowling and get the next round for FREE! Don’t miss the chance to double up on fun and knock down some pins for FREE!

DIY GHOST CRAFT: 28 October at 1000-1500
Boo-lieve it or not, the Arts & Crafts Center is handing out FREE DIY Ghosts during BOGO Bowling! Stop by to grab your ghostly canvas and let your creativity run wild as you decorate for the Halloween season. It’s a frightfully fun way to get into the spooky spirit!

Fall Lunch Special: 29 October at 1100-1400
The Event Center is serving up an exclusive BooFest lunch special! Enjoy an Uptown Grilled Cheese—deliciously melted on sourdough bread and paired with a cozy cup of butternut squash soup, plus your choice of a house or Caesar salad, all for $12. For a sweet autumn treat, grab a Pumpkin Crunch Square for only $2.50! The full lunch menu will also be available, so gather the team for your lunch break and soak in all the fall vibes at the Event Center!

Youth BooFest: 31 October at 1500-1700
Get ready for the Youth BooFest at the Event Center! This thrilling afternoon is packed with fun activities, including a Trunk-or-Treat, Costume Contest, and Pumpkin Patch! Plus, watch as the Book Character Pumpkin Contest is judged, showcasing the creativity of our young decorators. With exciting fall festivities around every corner, there are great prizes up for grabs in both the costume and pumpkin contests!

Adult Halloween Party and Trivia Night: 31 October at 1800-2200
Join the Event Center for a spooky Halloween Trivia Night! Enjoy spooky food and drink specials with a live DJ! Test your knowledge and compete for fantastic trivia prizes and don’t forget to wear your best Halloween costume for a chance to win in the Costume Contest! This event is a Halloween Party for adults only!
