Description:
IEM is looking to hire a Full Time – Talent Acquisition Specialist (Req ID: 3215) to assist with hiring efforts and support tasks across the many sectors of our company. The candidate we are looking for will have current experience in hiring within the emergency management and/or disaster recovery fields. We need someone with strong knowledge in all areas of employment recruitment including effective surge recruiting, sourcing methods, pipeline development and competitive compensation practices.
Essential Functions:
โขCollaborate with hiring managers throughout the hiring process, assisting and advising them with the development of job requisitions.
โขManage surge recruiting needs as well as candidate local pipeline development.
โขEvaluate applicant resumes, screen applicants, and coordinate applicant interviews.
โขGenerate candidate offer letters.
โขKeep Applicant Tracking System updated- current system being used is ADP.
โขDemonstrate a sense of urgency; often, we have high volume demands with a short time frame.
โขWill utilize working knowledge of advanced sourcing skills, including Boolean string searches for obscure talent.
Minimum Qualifications:
โขOne (1) to Three (3) years of experience recruiting talent for a company or agency within the emergency management or disaster recovery fields.
โขFluent – Bilingual: English / Spanish
โขProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Sharepoint.
โขAbility to work flexible hours to accommodate work schedules.
โขAbility to attend job fairs across the US including Puerto Rico and other US territories.
โขAbility to manage multiple, concurrent recruiting tasks and prioritize tasks based on competing demands.
โขAbility to source and create strong networks of local talent.
โขKnowledge of employment and labor laws and regulation compliance
โขDemonstrated experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn, and various job posting boards
โขHigh level of skill in the following: project management, verbal and written communications, listening, confidentiality, detail-orientation, organization, negotiation, time management, self-initiative
Preferred Qualifications:
โขBachelorโs degree in human resources or related field
โขExperience developing candidate pipelines across multiple states
โขExperience with recruiting positions within the Emergency Management or Disaster Recovery fields.
โขOne or more years of human resource experience.
Benefits:
โขStarting salary based on location and experience: $60,000 – $72,500
