The 14th Force Support Squadron is dedicated to supporting the mission at Columbus Air Force Base – Train World Class Pilots. Each FSS program and facility provides airmen and their families with seamless and enriching experiences at CAFB. From educational materials and fitness initiatives to recreational activities and services, 14 FSS is committed to fostering a supportive environment for the future of the United States Air Force.
THE PRINTSHOP
The PrintShop offers specialized tools that enhance the training process for student pilots. The PrintShop is now fully stocked with premade 30×40 inch cockpit posters for the T-6, T-1, and T-38 along with grab-and-go laminated checklists for $1. The PrintShop spiral binds study materials such as manuals, guides, and booklets in addition to printing and mounting flight room ceiling tiles, and designing custom class patches.
LIBRARY
The Library is located within the Blaze Commons and has a wide selection of print and digital materials. Their collection includes a variety of leadership titles to promote airmanship and study materials such as CLEP, DSST, ASVAB, ACT, GRE, GMAT, as well as occupational certifications. In addition to physical materials, the Library holds access to free online resources, e-books, and more.
OUTDOOR RECREATION
Outdoor Recreation’s passion is to provide morale-boosting activities on and off base. CAFB has its very own Skeet and Trap Range, Archery Range, and Paintball Course. Whether you want to jump out of a plane during an ODR Tandem Skydiving Trip, explore the deep sea, scuba diving in Panama City, FL, or indulge in the streets of Historic Kentucky, ODR supports team-driven, recreational trips and activities to restore pilots’ resiliency and get back to the mission – restored and ready for the fight!
FITNESS CENTER
Fitness is an imperative part of the mission to train pilots and help them stay physically and mentally sharp. The Physical Fitness Program encourages year-round participation in a comprehensive fitness regime that includes conditioning, muscular endurance, and healthy eating to ensure a high level of readiness. Registered CAC members have 24/7 access to the Fitness Center, accommodating all schedules. Additionally, 5k races and fun runs are hosted throughout the year to promote and drive a sense of community centered around fitness and health.
MILITARY & FAMILY READINESS CENTER
The Military & Family Readiness Center promotes, educates, and facilitates readiness and resiliency for Airmen and their families. The MFRC is a one-stop service organization to obtain reliable information and assistance on a wide range of important topics such as Relocation, Family Readiness, Volunteering, Personal Financial Consulting, Local Employment for spouses, Voter Assistance, and more.
ARTS & CRAFTS CENTER
The Arts & Crafts Center is a valuable amenity on base for all custom orders such as engraved products with squadron patches, awards, plaques, name plates, and more. Additionally, Arts & Crafts provides full-service framing for graduation memorabilia, shadow boxes to commemorate training, and will score wings to make for an effortless break at graduation.
CHILD & YOUTH PROGRAMS
Child and Youth Programs provide future pilots, airmen, and their families opportunities for their babies, children, and teens to develop their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive abilities. The opportunities for achievement, leadership, and recognition through US Air Force Programs, Boys and Girls Club of America, and National 4-H Club, while promoting quality of life for the youngest members of Team 14.
EVENT CENTER
The Event Center hosts a variety of specialty and basewide events designed to bring pilots and their families together. The Event Center offers catering and event rentals for private parties. From Assignment Nights and graduation to promotion ceremonies and Trivia Nights the Event Center truly embodies the spirit of unity within CAFB and is essential to providing a balance between training and recreation. The 14th Force Support Squadron plays a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the mission of Training World Class Pilots. The support extends beyond a physical and mental standpoint, encompassing various aspects of pilots’ lives, including community-driven initiatives, all aimed at fostering a cohesive and supportive environment.
