There’s no shortage of activities this summer for kids and teens at Columbus Air Force Base! From movies and reading challenges to swim lessons and specialty camps, 14 FSS is offering nonstop fun and enrichment for youth and families all summer long. Here’s what’s happening:
Movie Mondays at the Kaye
Every Monday at 1330 | Starting 2 June | Kaye Auditorium
Your Library is hosting Movie Mondays all summer long at the Kaye Auditorium. Enjoy weekly family-friendly, PG movies. Each attendee will receive a punch card—come back every week and fill your card for a chance to win a special prize at the end of the season. Bring your own snacks!
Summer Reading Challenge & StoryTime
Tuesdays at 1000 | Library
Start the summer off right with the Summer Reading Challenge kickoff on 3 June at 1000, featuring free food, fun activities, and a gaming truck at the Library. Then, return each Tuesday at 1000 for StoryTime and reading-focused events. Track your progress all summer and earn great prizes for logging your reading hours!
Swim Lessons
17 June – 3 July | Independence Pool
Swim lessons are available for multiple age groups and skill levels. Pre-registration is required—call Outdoor Recreation at (662) 434-2505 to reserve your spot.

- Mommy & Me (Ages 6 months – 3 years): $125
- Regular Lessons (Ages 4 and up): $150

- Ages 3–4: 1235–1315 or 1520–1600
- Ages 5–7: 1320–1400
- Ages 7+: 1405–1445
Open Swim is Tuesday-Saturday 1100-1900 and Sunday 1100-1700.
Youth Specialty Camps at the Youth Center
Ages 9+ | 0800–1200 | Fees Apply | Open Rec starts at 1300 daily
Get ready for a summer packed with fun, hands-on experiences! The Youth Center is hosting a variety of Specialty Camps designed for ages 9 and up (Missoula Theatre Camp is open to ages 5+). Each camp runs from 0800–1200, with the option to join Open Rec Camp afterwards, starting at 1300.

Each week offers unique opportunities for youth to learn new skills, explore their interests, and connect with peers in a fun, supportive environment.

Missoula Children’s Theatre Camp: Alice in Wonderland
23–27 June | 0800–1200 | Youth Center | Ages 5+
This summer, your child can be part of the magic with Missoula Children’s Theatre! Youth ages 5 and up will audition, learn, rehearse, and perform a full stage production of Alice in Wonderland—all in one week.
No previous theatre experience is required. This immersive camp builds confidence, teamwork, and creativity while offering a fun and supportive environment for young performers.

Full-Day Summer Camp

The Youth Center’s full-day Summer Camp includes swimming, bowling, arts and crafts, and field trips. Program fees are based on family income, and sibling discounts are available. Call the Youth Center at (662) 434-2504 to enroll.
Kids Bowl Free Program
All Summer | Bowling Center
Through the nationwide Kids Bowl Free program, children 15 and under can bowl two free games each day throughout the summer. Parents can sign up online to receive weekly coupons for use at the CAFB Bowling Center.
