PRE-SEPARATION COUNSELING IS REQUIRED BEFORE ATTENDING THE TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
TAP provides information, tools, and training to ensure service members and their spouses are prepared for the next step in civilian life. Whether pursuing additional education, finding a career, or starting a business. The week starts at 0730 on Monday. TAP is held at the Military & Family Readiness Center at no cost. Registration is required.
Transition Assistance Program Workshop held at MFRC is mandatory for all personnel separating or retiring, Pre-separation counseling is required before attending. Seminars on: Transition, Military Occupational Code Crosswalk, Financial Planning, Health Benefits, MS Dept of Employment Security, Dept of Veterans Affairs, Disabled TAP, Dept of Labor TAP portion. Recommend attendance 8 – 12 months before separation/retirement. Spouses are encouraged to attend with their sponsor.
